Brazil, a vast country, with a culture that is as diverse as the country is large! Far Out Recordings take you on a journey around some of the many musical styles and beats that comprise Brazilian dance. Read more about the album here and hear three tracks on this month's show! There's also a track from Far Out Recordings Nicola Conte Presents Viagem series at the end of the show from Luis Henrique.
Also check out two of the artists on the album Mental Abstrato and DJ Tahira here on YouTube.

As well as bringing "Brazilian Bass" to you Roots of the World has some other suggestions to Brazilanize your World Cup Summer!
The very informative Sounds and Colours website, a treasure trove for Latino music lovers has a fabulous alternative World Cup Mixtape courtesy of the hard work of Russ Slater.
Learn some World Cup Portuguese here!
As always the show takes you on a trip both near and far including music from the Jumpin'Hot Jamboree, there's lots of Latino in addition to the music of Brazil to celebrate the Latin festival on Tyneside Vamos, as well a good dollop of folk and Americana from destinations as diverse as Hertfordshire, Ireland, Newcastle and the U.S! I am very excited to be able to play you two tracks from the World Music Network's highly entertaining Rough Guide to Psychedelic Cambodia, music that survived the brutal despotic Khmer Rouge. Next month's show features Scotland's man Senegalese of music Samba Sene so he gets a play as well on this month's show. So it's a real around the world ticket, well almost, with music from Africa, Asia, Europe, America , North and South all getting played on June's Roots of the World Show on Hive Radio!
