This month's podcast ,which you can find at the bottom of the page, features Teeside born and bred folk duo Megson. Megson, composed of Stu and Debbie Hanna have a remarkable talent for unearthing north east folk gems and breathing new life into them with their contemporary arrangements, as well as writing their own material in a uniquely compelling way. Just play Megson to anyone who thinks that folk is just a load of old songs and not much else and see them convert to folk music instantly. "In a Box" is the duo's sixth release and was eloquently reviewed on the Bright Young Folk website recently amongst other places. Buy the album from May 12 at amongst other places the Megson shop. On the Megson songs below, a wee click will take you to a video of them performing a song from a previous album, including a performance at Rothbury Roots folk club! Anyway, let's get on with this month's podcast!
